  • To enroll at DCDAL, you must register for an in-person orientation session at one of our statewide orientation sites.
  • Please review the available dates, times, and locations below and register for only one session.
  • Duplicate registrations will be removed, and your seat may be forfeited.

After You Register:

  • Complete and submit your orientation forms online no later than one (1) week after you register.
  • A non-refundable $15 registration fee + processing will be charged at the time of registration.

Virtual Orientation Eligibility:

You may be eligible to attend a virtual orientation session if your registration indicates the following:

  • Prior enrollment in a qualifying program
  • Sufficient test scores
  • Verified earned credits

DCDAL will notify you via email if you qualify for a virtual session.

➡️ Check your email regularly for communication from DCDAL.

All required orientation paperwork must be submitted to be eligible for virtual orientation.

Transcript Submission (Deadline: March 16, 2026)

Please email a scanned PDF copy of your transcript to: transcripts@dcdal.org .  Photos of transcripts will not be accepted.  You may be exempt from testing and eligible for virtual orientation based on your transcript.

If you are not eligible for virtual orientation, you must attend your scheduled in-person orientation.

At the session, you will:

  • Complete eligibility testing
  • Meet with a DCDAL staff member for a program overview

About Organizer

Cathy Kipp Organizer name

In 1997, the Delaware Center for Distance Adult Learning, Inc. (DCDAL) was founded to create an opportunity for Delaware adults without a high school credential to earn a James H. Groves High School diploma online. Up until that point, James H. Groves High School was only offered at on-site programs housed in seven different locations throughout Delaware. In 2004, DCDAL expanded to offer online GED preparation. To date, more than 1,000 Delaware adults have earned a high school diploma or GED through DCDAL. Our mission is to provide a personalized program with quality instruction and support to enable adult learners to become more effective employees, family members, and community participants.
